Scholar Speed Round: 2015 Bezos Scholar Estela Náula

Estela Náula is a 2015 Scholar from Mozambique who attended the African Leadership Academy! Now based in Fulton, Missouri, Estela recently graduated from Westminster College with degrees in Spanish and Business Communication. She’s an experienced volunteer with organizations like Peace Corps, Books for Africa and the Atlanta Community Foodbank – and she’s doing impressive work with the Latin American Leadership Foundation, helping support and mentor the next generation of Latin American young leaders. Read more below as Estela response to our ten rapid-fire, get-to-know-you questions!

3. One item on your life-time bucket list: To bring my parents on a trip to Portugal to see their priest and counselor, Padre Rocha

5. Hobby you picked or practiced more in 2020: Braiding my hair 

6. Favorite way to self-care/de-stress: Dressing up and to take myself on dates  

7: What are you most curious about: Financial literacy and investment

9. One word to describe you: Caring 

10. What are you most grateful for today?  I am grateful to everyone who donated to my microfinance project. Because of them, this summer we will train 30 women in rural Mozambique to run microfinance businesses and become financially independent.
