“I’ve just grown to be so much more confident in rooms I’ve never been in.”

The Journey at a Glance
As a Bezos Scholar, you belong to a cohort of youth changemakers. Each year, student and educator teams from across the US and Africa come together to learn, grow, and make an impact in their community

How the Bezos Scholars Program Works
1
Apply with an educator from your school.
Students and their nominated educators begin the journey by submitting an application that highlights their leadership, passion, and potential.
2
Join your cohort at Aspen Ideas Festival.
Selected Scholars and educators kick off the year with an immersive week at the Aspen Ideas Festival, meeting global leaders and dreaming about ways to make a change in a beautiful setting nestled in the mountains.
3
Lead a Community Change Project back home
After meeting virtually to build skills in leadership and collaboration, Scholars launch a Community Change Project that addresses a need in their community with support and seed funding.
Is This For Me?
You don’t need a perfect résumé or a leadership title. If you’re a high school junior that cares about your community and wants to grow as a leader, we want to hear from you.
