CLIP (Creating Legal Immigration Pathways)

Project Theme: Immigration Resources
Years in Existence: 4
Target Audience and Location: Immigrants in the San Fernando Valley
Mission: Advocating for local immigrants by streamlining connections with legal and professional resources through events with community partners.
Project Description: Founded by Scholars Aayushi Garg and Sean Lewis, CLIP Foundation was created to expand access to legal support for immigrant communities. What started as a response to the challenges of high cost and complexity of the immigration system transformed into a project focused on partnering with nonprofits, community members and attorneys working together to provide free services for those navigating the path to citizenship. This year’s student leaders are focused on growing beyond their initial base to thoughtfully and strategically expand their services in their community, ensuring that they adapt their approach to meet the evolving and complex needs of their community members.
