2015 Bezos Scholar Niquan Dawson and educator David Rose connected arts with the diversity of their community in Illinois by hosting the Morton Fine Arts Festival.
Niquan wanted to create a space for his diverse community to gain exposure to the arts, so he partnered with J. Sterling Morton High School, to host a cultural celebration celebrating the diversity of the community. The event featured visual arts performance art, and culinary arts exhibits, all created by students!
