Emily Thompson

Faith and family guide Emily who is a Spanish teacher, mom of two energetic boys, and recent master’s graduate from the University of Salamanca. A Gainesville native who now calls Cartersville home, she directs community theatre skits and dreams of founding a local stage company that uplifts audiences and performers alike. Emily is also an advocate for mental health awareness and pets who need a loving home. While her children occupy most of her spare moments, she still makes time for puzzles, dog walks and board game nights. Emily is eager to grow new leadership skills through the Bezos Scholars program.
